Over the last 5 years, Jon has advised senior business officers at a number of global financial services firms in support of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) initiatives within credit risk. Having overseen a number of regulatory compliance engagements linked to Basel II, Solvency II, FSCS (faster payout) and credit risk data assurance, Jon has developed a detailed understanding of the practical challenges inherent in assessing complex data from disparate systems. A critical deliverable from these initiatives is a documented ‘corporate action plan’ that engages both business and technical teams in a consistent joint approach. The objective being to addresses regulatory requirements for robust systems that validate “accuracy” and “consistency” of data, processes and risk components – including on-going measurement and monitoring actions.
Most recently Jon has been working with financial clients to assess the data requirements and challenges associated with FATCA compliance.
